It’s official as of January 2016: EPLAN Training Aca-demy has been certified according to DIN ISO 29990:2010. This verified quality standard confirms that EPLAN Training Academy offers high-level, high-quality courses. DIN ISO is an international standard in the area of education and advanced training. Monheim/Hanover, Germany, 25 April 2016 – The certification by TÜV Nord confirms what users have been saying about EPLAN Software & Service for years: the company provides high-quality training that now also carries the seal of approval for quality standards. Among the many things examined as part of the certification was the practical applicability of the diverse seminars offering as well as the training processes. The result: customers who took advantage of the EPLAN Training Academy – available around the globe – clearly worked more efficiently with EPLAN software afterwards. This is further confirmed by the certification amendment “Development and implementation of trainings for increasing efficiency in engineering.” Bernd Schewior, Senior Vice President Professional Services at EPLAN, says: “The consistent high quality of our trainings has now been officially confirmed with the certification. We’ve achieved a standard that makes us comparable on an international basis and establishes transparency with respect to EPLAN Training Academy’s achievements.” Since EPLAN consistently implements its trainings in all locations, the certification can be assessed around the world. Uniform training dossiers, the consistent curriculum, a standardised training project in 17 different languages and finely tuned documentation in both online and print versions ensure that the course’s contents correspond worldwide. In other markets, Asia in particular, DIN ISO certification is an important quality hallmark and nearly indispensible.

Around 10,000 annual participants

EPLAN has been an active training provider for many years. The company carries out about 750 seminars with approximately 2,500 seminar-days in German-speaking countries alone, with a similarly high number of participants from international markets. Overall, the company has around 10,000 seminar participants in nearly 1,800 seminars globally. Especially popular courses include the basic or referesher training, extension module and anvanced training and method training standardisation. Individual seminars run between two and eight days.

Outlook: Training goes online

EPLAN is also working on new topics for the online sector. The globally operating company plans to also make many of these measures available as online trainings over the long term. The majority of trainings and workshops offered are currently in-person courses on location, however the trend to digitalisation continues apace. The expansion of the EPLAN Certified Engineer (ECE) certification is also continuing. To date, about one hundred people have passed the ECE course, certified by an independent institute. This demonstrates that companies recognise the advantages of such a certification and that this head start in expertise and know-how pays off in a competitive business world.
